Altec 615A: What Are Your Thoughts?

There's a pair of 615As on the auction site. I've never been exposed to this model. How would they compare to 604/605s? Anyone have experience with them?

I have no experience with the 615, but I really like how my 616 pair sounds.

Change the horn and they're pretty much 605B's, in that pain in the butt rear mount only frame.

If i could source a pair inexpensively enough, i'd tear them apart, and send Bill the motors. Have him build them up on 16 inch frames, install 416 moving assemblies, and the new style 604-H III horns. While they give up a bit of sensitivity, they would dig deeper than a 604 in a reasonably sized enclosure.
